The Space

Both the facade and the interior lean into a European country style — warm wooden tables and chairs under soft yellow lighting, with a bright, spacious layout that makes for a really comfortable meal. Italian-themed paintings hang on the walls and greenery is dotted around, so it almost feels like you have stepped into a little European town.

How to Order & Menu

Ordering is done from a paper menu. The kitchen focuses on Italian-style dishes — pasta, risotto, pizza, baked gratins and sizzling hot-plate dishes — so there is plenty to choose from. Drinks are self-service and free-flow, usually lychee black tea; I always end up refilling several times. You pay after the meal, and all sorts of mobile payment options are accepted.

Recommended Dishes

This time we ordered the garlic white wine clam linguine, fish roe and crab pizza, sizzling herb chicken tenders, spiced chicken cartilage and William's roasted chicken wings (six whole wings) — everything was solid, not a single miss.

William Tell garlic white wine clam linguine
▲Garlic white wine clam linguine — sweet, briny clams with garlicky aroma and a gentle kick of heat; exactly the classic vongole you would hope for.
William Tell fish roe and crab pizza
▲Fish roe and crab pizza — generously topped and really satisfying, on a thin, crispy Italian-style crust that is not the least bit greasy.
William Tell sizzling herb chicken tenders
▲Sizzling herb chicken tenders — closer to Taiwanese-style teppanyaki, boldly seasoned and great with rice.
William Tell chicken cartilage
▲Spiced chicken cartilage with shichimi pepper and raw onion — crunchy with a rich, spiced aroma, a great appetizer.
William Tell roasted chicken wings, six whole wings
▲William's roasted chicken wings (six whole wings) — golden, crispy skin over tender, juicy meat, finished with a sprinkle of Italian herbs.
