Getting There
My Family Steak's Zhonghua Branch is located in the Dali shopping district (Google Maps link). I'd recommend coming by scooter or MRT, since driving here means parking isn't easy. There are some roadside parking spots along both sides of Zhonghua Road, or you can park at Dali's parking lot, or walk 7 minutes to the paid City Travel Parking Lot (城市車旅停車場) at the intersection of Zhongshan Road and Wufu Road (Google Maps link).

Restaurant Environment
The dining space isn't very big, so during busy hours the buffet line can get a bit crowded and you may need to queue up. Seating isn't particularly spacious either, but it doesn't have a major impact on the overall experience. On the plus side, a restroom is available here, which is pretty convenient.

How to Order
At My Family Steak, ordering just one main dish plus a 10% service charge gives you access to the salad bar. If you don't want a main dish, you can also order the salad bar on its own (except on weekends and holidays). With the service charge included, the total usually falls between NT$400 and NT$600.

Filet Mignon|10oz Ribeye|Buffet Salad Bar
This time we ordered the ribeye and the filet mignon. The ribeye is a generous 10 ounces, and paired with the salad bar, it really fills you up. For an affordable steakhouse, the flavor is quite good — I'd suggest just sprinkling on some sea salt. The filet mignon leans more toward well-done, and the meat itself was solid too. There are also other options like chicken, pork chop, and fish, all of which should be reliably good quality.
The buffet salad bar includes salad, hot dishes, fruit, soup, garlic and butter dinner rolls, drinks, ice cream, hot tea, and desserts. None of it is particularly high-end, but the sheer variety on offer is impressively generous.
Whenever I feel like I need to load up on some nutrients, I really enjoy coming to My Family Steak — some veggies, some meat, some fruit, and I'm completely satisfied. After the meal, you can head over to Central Park for a stroll, or wander around Dali — both make for a great follow-up plan.
