When visiting Kenting in Pingtung, most people look for restaurants around Hengchun or Kenting Main Street, and Migu Village is a hugely popular spot right in downtown Hengchun (Google Maps link). Every time I travel to Kenting and pass through Hengchun, I stop at Migu for a meal. The food is genuinely special and delicious, the prices are reasonable, and the whole dining atmosphere has that vacation feel. Besides Kitchen Swell (波波廚房), this is the other restaurant here I especially love.
Indoor seating is limited, so on weekends tables are hard to come by — be sure to book ahead (reserve via this LINE link) or you may miss out! If you haven't booked and don't want to wait, line up at the door right at 12:00 sharp — you should get a seat. That's exactly what I did, and all three times I was seated immediately.
If you're driving, there's plenty of street parking nearby, so don't worry about finding a spot — at worst you'll park a 5-minute walk away.

Dining Environment
There aren't many seats inside, but the decor is warm and wood-toned, and you can really feel the coziness and southern-Taiwan hospitality.

Menu & Ordering
You order by scanning a barcode to browse photos of the actual dishes. Mains run about NT$300~NT$400, and with a drink or a small side you're looking at roughly NT$500 per person — quite acceptable for a resort town.
The menu covers a variety of rice ball set meals, plus pasta, desserts, small bites, and all kinds of drinks.
Payment is made at a kiosk in cash, so remember to bring cash — electronic payments are not accepted.

Laksa Seafood Rice Ball Set|Fried Chicken Wings with Sweet-and-Spicy Sauce
Every time I come, I order the laksa seafood rice ball set: two rice balls, a bowl of laksa seafood, half a soft-boiled egg, a small side dish and a milk custard, plus a cup of miso soup. Every rice ball flavor is distinctive and delicious, so pick whichever you like. The laksa seafood bowl mainly features shrimp and mussels with vegetables — it's hard to find anywhere else, which is exactly why I order it every single time. This is my top recommendation here.
The chicken wings are comparatively ordinary, and the latte is as basic as it gets — don't expect too much from those.
