How to Book i-Ride Tickets

For a lot of people, i-Ride is honestly a pretty unique experience. As an Attack on Titan fan, when I heard the story of this legendary series had been brought to i-Ride — letting you imagine strapping on your own ODM gear and soaring through the town among the Titans — that sounded fantastic! I couldn't wait, so Lers and I booked a slot two weeks out. The theme we picked was "Attack on Titan: Declaration of War", mainly because it's the newest theme and also the longest one — I wanted to see as much as possible in one go! I bought the tickets on Klook at NT$990 per person. There are other Attack on Titan themes too, including "Attack on Titan: The Battle to Retake" and "Attack on Titan: Battle of the Beast Titan" — check out the storylines and pick the one you like best! Note that you must book in advance — as of 2024, i-Ride no longer allows same-day reservations or same-day walk-in ticket purchases!

i-Ride Kaohsiung — a must-try large-scale flying theater experience

i-Ride Kaohsiung Location & Check-in

i-Ride is in the Kaohsiung Software Park, right next to Brogent Technologies. As we arrived, the familiar Attack on Titan theme song started playing around us and the i-Ride entrance came into view — by that point, your head is probably already filling up with all kinds of scenes from Attack on Titan.

After checking in with our Klook QR code, we got our tickets and lined up to enter — and grabbed a photo with Armin and the pressurized gas tanks next to the queue. Personally, I think Hajime Isayama inventing the ODM gear was pure genius — it gives humanity a chance to stand on equal footing with the Titans. What an imagination!

My i-Ride Experience

Once inside, there's about a 5-minute briefing video before the actual i-Ride flight experience begins. The theme we chose, "Attack on Titan: Declaration of War", condenses episodes 60 to 66 of the anime's final season into a 10-minute flight. I had just rewatched that whole arc the week before, which made watching it hit even harder. The footage feels a bit like riding an FPV drone weaving through those battlefields, with scenes where you charge in alongside the Survey Corps. The overall experience was really good — sure, NT$990 for just 10 minutes, but it's absolutely worth trying!

There's also a NT$1,880 bundle to watch all three in one sitting, but I'd suggest skipping it — this ride is similar in style to Universal Studios Japan's "Spider-Man" or "Harry Potter" attractions, and sitting on it for too long can easily make you dizzy, which would be a shame~ one film per visit is just right!

The whole experience was great. Besides the Attack on Titan series, i-Ride offers other themes such as "Fly Over America" and "Fly Over Taiwan" — I also tried "Fly Over Holland" a few years back. Check the official website for full details.
