Yancheng District is packed with great food, but for tasty, affordable pasta, Chianyi is my top pick. The portions are generous, there's a wide range of flavors to choose from, simple customizations are welcome, and best of all the prices are wallet-friendly — you can eat here regularly without breaking the bank. It's a great fit for families, office workers, and groups of friends, and since it's close to the Pier-2 Art Center, visitors can book a table ahead and drop in for a meal too.

Location & Getting There
Chianyi Pasta & Risotto sits on the famous Xinle Street (Google Maps link), close to the Pier-2 Art Center. It's just a five-minute walk from Exit 2 of Yanchengpu MRT station on the Kaohsiung MRT — a super convenient spot. After your meal, strolling around the area with a cup of milk tea is a real treat.
If you come by scooter you can park right at the door, but drivers will need to use a parking lot a bit further away or hunt for street parking.

Dining Environment
The storefront looks pretty unassuming, and there's no fancy decor inside — it leans more toward a homestyle family restaurant, so don't come expecting ambiance. That said, the space is clean, roomy, and bright, which makes for a very comfortable meal. There's also a restroom on site.

How to Order & the Menu
You order from the menu, then pay at the counter. They accept lots of payment methods, which is really convenient.
The pasta and risotto come in six sauce styles — creamy white sauce, tomato sauce, pesto, orange sauce, laksa, and aglio e olio — and you can add a set-meal upgrade, fried sides, or drinks.

German Sausage Pasta in Tomato Sauce, Clam Pasta in Pesto, Crispy Fries & Pumpkin Soup
The pasta portions are generous, and I'd suggest adding a touch of mild spice for extra flavor. We ordered the German sausage in tomato sauce and the clam pesto — both highly recommended.
The crispy fries and pumpkin soup came as set-meal add-ons. The fries were fried nice and crisp, and the pumpkin soup was rich and creamy — you can even see the pumpkin fibers in it, so you know it's the real deal.
