Hours Later Thick Steak (小時厚牛排) has opened quite a few branches around the Hsinchu and Miaoli area. This time I tried the Guangfu branch in Hsinchu. The dining space is nice and roomy, there are plenty of main-course options, the food is pretty tasty, and there's a wide range of self-serve sides — great for office workers grabbing a meal or for family dining.

Hours Later Thick Steak (Hsinchu Guangfu Branch): Affordable Steak with Many Cuts and Rich Sides

Location & Getting There
The Guangfu branch of Hours Later Thick Steak is on Guangfu Road, close to the Hsinchu Science Park and the Guanxin Road shopping area. It's a busy district, so parking a car isn't easy — coming by scooter and parking out front is the better option.
Signature Thick-Cut Steak & Squid
This time I ordered the signature thick-cut steak with deep-sea squid, plus teppanyaki noodles — more than enough to fill one person up. Everything was tasty: the steak was fairly tender and the squid was fresh. This combo came to NT$370.
The garlic bread side is self-serve — you spread the garlic paste on and toast it yourself, but it toasts quickly so there's hardly any waiting. The soup is really good, loaded with ingredients.

Prices at Hours Later Thick Steak run about NT$250~400. You can check the menu the store uploaded to Google below, or view it directly via the menu link.

Self-Serve Side Bar
Beyond the mains there's a wide range of self-serve sides: garlic bread, soup, braised pork rice, cookies and snacks, popcorn, drinks and soft-serve ice cream — basically everything you'd expect is here.
